The Skyslide: For Daredevils Who Wish to Ride High

The OUE Skyspace LA attraction offers you some amazing 360-degree views of the LA skyline. On clear days, you can even look out as far as the Catalina Islands, the San Gabriel Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. The view isn’t the only thing it offers though, welcome to the Skyslide, a sheer glass slide on the outside of the building and its the one attraction that has everyone talking.

Opened earlier this year, the OUE Skyspace LA is a space that is excellent for those outings with friends and family, with the two observation decks – California’s tallest – on the US Bank Tower offering a magnificent view of the beautiful city of Los Angeles.

The panoramic view is quite treat for those who wish to see the city from a new angle, and the Digital Interactive Level even has a 360-degree Digital Topography Wall that offers information on the city with the help of breakthrough technology. Other attractions here include the Infinity Mirror and the Silhouette Wall.

Now, while these attractions certainly offer you something new, the one that truly gets your adrenaline pumping is the Skyslide. Built a 1000 feet above the ground, this unique outdoor glass slide offers you a scenic ride from the 70th to the 69th floor of the building and the forty-five feet sliding drop will give you the thrills and the chills.

Of course, the ride is safe in every way, with the reinforced enclosed glass offering you complete protection from the real drop that lies outside it. Even so, it does take a good amount of bravado to take that first step on this one!

If it’s just the view you’re interested in, Daily Admission tickets cost between $19 and $25 depending on your age, and the timed ticket entry pass allows you to take in the view from the beautiful observation decks as well as gain access to all four levels of the OUE Skyspace LA.

The Skyslide Combo is what you need if you’re up for the slide ride though, and this pass ranges between $27 and $33, with access to the other facilities thrown in.

So, if trusting a structure of clear glass to give you a safe ride a 1000 feet above the ground is your thing, the Skyslide is only a visit to LA away.
