Habitual good manners elevated them to chair status.

Generally speaking, trying to enjoy a meal with hungry cats in the vicinity is a challenge. Cats can be quite persistent in an audible way (anyone in any proximity of cats when they want anything cannot unhear that ‘meooow howwwl’), and in a physical way, blocking, jumping up and being ‘feline moving pylons’. Two cats have decided to go another route to get closer to the table: good manners.

The two cats that are believed to be owned by a family in Japan display incredible restraint as they sit politely by the table and watch their humans enjoy beautifully prepared meals without any fuss. The photos that were posted on Instagram show two sweet felines named Oko-Chan and Hatchan resting on the lap of their owner with delicious looking dishes lying within paw’s reach on the table.

Given the number of ‘feast and feline’ pics, these cats are a patient pair :). That said, the poor little Hatchan can’t resist temptation, with a quick paw-out caught on camera, but the misstep doesn’t seem to have come with a demotion – more pictures follow with them both back at the table.
