The adorable pooches of NYC are on full display through the lens of this photog.

It doesn’t take a lot to fall in love with dogs, and although cats seem to rule the internet, the ‘man’s'(we use the term loosely) best friends isn’t far behind. Bearing the flag for the canine community and making sure their adorability isn’t restricted to their humans is  Elias Weiss Friedman, or better know as The Dogist.

The Dogist has a fairly simple, yet highly rewarding task at hand, go around New York City (and at least 30 other cities around the world over the last year) and shoot beautiful pictures of dogs. Of course, the couple of lines added to this already cute profile, courtesy their human owners, makes these canine cuties all the more endearing.

Here are a few of The Dogist’s works with his Nikon D750 to let you know just how undeniably cute this entire series is.

Here’s Jake, an Irish Setter, and here’s what his human had to say – “He carries my socks and underwear around my apartment, and likes to walk himself sometimes.”

Then there’s Kobe, a Labrador Retriever that seems like the silent type, but really isn’t! “He’s a hurdler. He jumps over the couch, and then runs around to do it again,” says his human.

Louboutina is a Golden Retriever, who her human says is famous for the hugs she gives out. Of course, The Dogist managed to capture one of those heartwarming hugs!

There’s even a cancer survivor dog in here, Madison the Italian Greyhound.

The charming and thoroughly lovable list goes on!

Fortunately, for those of who love these pictures and the accompanying stories, The Dogist’s creations aren’t just restricted to his Facebook and Instagram pages.

The Dogist – Photographic Encounter with 1000 Dogs is a book that has Friedman sharing his work with the world.

Here’s a huge thank you to Elias Weiss Friedman, aka The Dogist.  You’re touching so many hearts out there. Whoever said the internet wasn’t a place for beautiful stories, sure needs to check this story out!
