For a very long time, facial hair has been considered a sign of wisdom and virility. Adding to this facial hair frenzy, was a study published in the Journal of Evolution and Human Behavior in 2013 that pointed out that women considered men with heavy beards and mustaches most attractive. The study went on to note that heavy beards were signs of healthiness and parenting ability. Again, this symbol of masculinity has been a notoriously fashionable trend that has stood the test of time as a hipster style that has continued its ascendancy to the mainstream fashion world.
Perhaps in the same spirit of reasserting masculinity and publicity that beards and mustaches brings to the owner, a New York-based photographer, Mindo Cikanavicius, has come up with a series of awesome photos of beards and mustaches, albeit fake ones and made of soap bubbles. Known as Bubbleissimo, these incredible portraits show well-dressed men sporting stylish beards and mustaches made of foamy soap bubbles.
While there may be reservations that natural beards and mustaches are never clean, these Bubbleissimo creations are possibly the cleanest facial hair ever. Do you agree?
