We think this would be a game that we’d actually want to play…Tesla’s Death Ray…’cmon, who wouldn’t?
With a very different idea of honoring seven luminaries that expanded our understanding of the world and human life, one creative artist has created an 8-bit styled fighting game that gives these scientific icons superpowers based on their theories. The creative Diego Sanches, who hails from Sao Paulo in Brazil, came up with pixel-art animations of some of the most significant scientists the world knows as fighting game characters whose extraordinary powers are based on their inventions and discoveries. Diego came up with a roster that consists of Stephen Hawking, Charles Darwin, Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton, Pythagoras, Nikola Tesla and Marie Curie.
The Brazilian illustrator created this breathtaking series of animated GIFs for an upcoming game known as Science Combat, which is owned by Brazilian publication Superinteressante Magazine. Apart from their special fighting abilities that are based on their inventions, these playable characters also have some very basic fighting abilities.
Even though the game is not yet in existence, we can enjoy Diego’s awesome creations and high-end imagination. Just imagine how Charles Darwin would evolve during a fist fight, or how Isaac Newton would use his power of gravity to attack an opponent. This is cool and makes us think we should have paid more attention in science class.
