Well, maybe its more like the Nintendo Classics get a 3D makeover.
The Nintendo NES first hit the shores of the US more than three decades ago in 1985 and since then, Nintendo consoles have been hugely popular with gamers in the West. Several iconic games have made an impact on the gaming population over the years including; Dr. Mario, Super Mario Bros. 3, Zelda 2: The Adventures of Link, Castlevania, Mega Man, Legend of Ninja and Contra have all had their time on top of the list at various times.
Now Geod Studio seems to have that thought it would be cool to see these classics in 3D and they went out and created the 3DNES, an emulator that has added 3D effects to all the games mentioned above.
The 3D effects that have been added to the games revamp these classics completely, and although it does take some getting used to some elements, the experience is an innovative one.
Use the Firefox browser and log on to 3DNES.com to see just how this emulator has transformed some of the most popular Nintendo games into 3D marvels. These games may be no match to the gaming technology we see today but they sure make for a fun ride down memory lane!
