New focus on WW1 will let players fight it out old style.
Most of us are definitely not fans of reveal “events” where there’s 12 hours of countdown hype just to show a 60-second trailer. But now that the dust has settled on the captivating trailer of Battlefield 1, we can reveal that DICE is set to go back in time to World War I.
According to the trailer, DICE leaves the comfort of present day and goes way back to World War I where horses, mustard gas and trench warfare are the order of the day. The Electronic Arts (EA’s) popular game discards modern-day weapons thereby limiting players only to weapons used in the early 20th century war, as well as primitive weapons used in previous centuries such as; guns, grenades, poisonous gases, shovels and flamethrowers.
The electrifying trailer shows that this blockbuster video game will be intense and provide players with plenty of tactical opportunities and challenges. Players will come to terms with “global conflict” and battle it out in various locations including the deserts of Arabia and the Italian Alps. No wonder Battlefield 1 has become one of the most liked gaming videos ever on YouTube with over 20 million likes already.
The game will be available on PS4, Xbox One and Window PC on October 21st, 2016.
