Can it be said that they took one too many? Well, this may be a very heated debate, but the truth is, they actually did take too much of their own product. As dumb as it may sound, two marijuana traffickers literally got on the wrong side of the law after they dialled 911 to admit that they were in possession of around 20 pounds of marijuana.
Perhaps after stoning themselves beyond their normal capacity, the two traffickers somehow believed that they had been discovered by undercover cops. Unbeknown to them, Rexburg police officers in Idaho didn’t have any clue and only came to discover of the pair’s actions after they found the traffickers standing outside their police car with a dog cage holding marijuana worth $16,000.
The incident that took place almost a year ago saw traffickers Leland Ayala-Doliente, 21 and Craig Sward Holland, 22; turn themselves to the police with a huge quantity of weed stuffed in 20 small one-pound bags. The two were believed to be transporting their stuff from Las Vegas to Montana, but got paranoid near the Idaho border thinking that they were being followed by the police before hilariously making their fateful 911 call.
The recorded call to the police that has now been released by the police is pretty hilarious. Ayala-Doliente, who sounds so stoned can be heard saying;
“Hi, Uh, we’re two dumb-asses that got caught trying to bring some stuff through your border and all your cops are just driving around us like a bunch of jack wagons and I’d just like you guys to end it. If you could help me out with that, we would just like to get on with it.”
After being asked by the surprised operator about the incident, Ayala-Doliente explains;
“We kind of got spooked, and all your buddies are around us, so if you could help us out that would be great. We tried walking away from the car a couple times, but that didn’t work.”
The self-proclaimed ‘dumb-asses’ have since been sentenced to prison with each receiving differing sentences.
