If you ever swore that French fries and vinegar was your ultimate food pairing, you’ll have to eat your words because you haven’t come across Jeff McCarthy’s immensely creative sandwich combos.
In his latest series, the Los Angeles-based artist and art director has proved to the world that food and celebrities are two of the internet’s most beloved topics. That’s because the project titled “Celebs on Sandwiches” is an emphatically hysterical confirmation that pop culture figures and sandwiches have a long and unending affinity.
Using intricate watercolors, McCarthy gives you something to bite on as he comically pairs your favorite stars with sandwiches! While we can’t tell why or how McCarthy came up with these two subjects, we can’t help but admit that there’s something interesting about Drake doing his now famous dance atop a Canadian bacon and cheese snanny.
Ostensibly, this super-imaginative notion hit the 29-year-old artist while he was discussing celebs with his girlfriend while munching on some sandwiches.
“Our culture’s fascination with celebrities and food is somehow absurd, so the idea of bringing some humor using these two subjects made total sense,” McCarthy said.
They’re all pretty cool, even though we can’t choose our favorite, its so hard to pick between Donald Trump standing on a grilled sausage sandwich and Hillary Clinton standing on a patty melt. The celebs on sandwiches are nonetheless our favorite thing in the world right now.
