These Feathery Arts are Super Cool

A tiger on a wild turkey feather? Sounds strange, but that’s what one talented artist and painter, Krystie Missildine has been doing and they’re kinda super cool. Krystie chose a unique type of canvas to paint intricate acrylic portraits of animals.

Using colored paints, Krystie captures a range of captivating animals on feathers of wild turkeys and macaws. The gifted artist created extraordinarily realistic images on feathers without worrying about the textures of the feathers, which works in favor of her paintings. These textures give Krystie’s creations a delicate visual effect that portrays the animals’ furs.

“I totally love painting intricate animals on feathers, but I’m almost running out of feathers even though I still have a couple of portraits to complete,” Krystie notes.

So, if you have any cool feathers lying around don’t hesitate to send them her way!
