World’s Slimmest Tower is on another Level
After a long-awaited anticipation, the British Airways i360 tower opened its doors to the public this August. Located on the seafront in Brighton, England, the i360 is the world’s thinnest tower with a diameter of only 3.9 meters that makes other towers around the world look unwieldy in comparison.
Standing at 162 meters (531 feet), the ultra-slim i360 has been officially named the world’s slimmest tower by the Guinness World Records. The observation tower that has been in construction for the last twelve years was designed and constructed by the team behind the London Eye.
In going up the tower pod, which can hold up to 200 guests and is shaped like a doughnut, visitors will have to pass through airport-style security checks before boarding the world’s first vertical cable car as they rise gently in the futuristic glass-and-steel pod while soaking to the breathtaking view of the seaside town.
At the pod, visitors will enjoy drinks at the Nyetimber Sky Bar as they’re treated to the 360-degree panoramic view on offer. Billed as a ray of hope for Brighton’s bright future, the British Airways i360 is a modernly cool tower that offers awe-inspiring view of one of England’s historic seashores.
