If this happened in the Simpson’s Universe, Homer’s mind and stomach would be blown.
In 2014, a cake designer, Kylie Mangles of Letterpress Bakery in Vancouver, made an anatomical cross-section cake based on Ralph Wiggum, an unrepentant nose-picker, socially awkward and slow-witted character from The Simpsons, who is arguably one of the most popular character on the show. This cake made waves all over the internet for its features that were described as delighting and disturbing at the same time.
In keeping up with this trend, the cake designer is as it again. This time though, Kylie has come up with an astonishing 3D cupcake that is torn between Springfield and galaxy in a way that depicts Homer Simpson as a stormtrooper.
The cake design that was created in 2015 coincided with the release of the latest Star Wars movieand could not be entirely based on the popular movie. For that matter, Kylie started looking for inspiration from other sources. Luckily enough, Kylie bumped on a street art by Ephin Cozmo, which inspired her to create a cupcake based on Homer Simpson as stormtrooper in Star Wars.
Kylie admits that the tasty cake took around two weeks to complete. It was a little intimidating to make and process out as it required several detailed additions and compositions. The cake masterpiece is made from tangerine infused milk chocolate, which makes this edible sculpture intricate and delicious and is big enough to feed around 130 people.
After finishing up the artistic dessert, Kylie served up the slices to Star Wars fanatics at a local store in Langley, Vancouver with the proceeds going to a local Shrine Club.
