We love Hong Kong for a whole bunch of reasons, but this one just jumped the shark.

Rainbow grilled cheese? A week after the national grilled cheese day, many of us would question our sanity. We know that rainbow isn’t essentially a flavor, but that hasn’t pulled the brakes on the invention of rainbow food trends. In fact, they’re taking the internet into overdrive, because hey, who doesn’t love a rainbow. First, it was the rainbow bagels, and now it’s the rainbow grilled cheese.

This unique toast is the work of Kala Toast shop in Hong Kong and has gained Instagram notoriety after being shared by hkfoodiexblogger. According to this account owner, each golden toasted sandwich oozes with distinctively melted rainbow cheese because each has its own unique flavor.

Unfortunately for foodies, this magic rainbow cheese is currently available only in one place in the world: Hong Kong, so unless you have major bank and can just hop on a jet for a grilly, we’ll have to settle for pics on Instagram. As for the taste? We aren’t so sure, but they’ve sold out several times, so they must be really tasty and of course, very cheap as they cost less than $5.
