Super-Awesome Burgers…. Pokémon Edition
Even though it’s been tiring to run all over town trying to catch ‘em all, we have to admit that the Pokémon craze has brought plenty of fun. And just when we felt disappointed that the darn things aren’t edible, an inventive burger joint in Sydney, Australia is now inspiring Pokémon fans to take their Poke-obsession to the next level by challenging them to “Gotta catch ‘em all in their mouths.”
Known as Down N’ Out, which is apparently a take off of the popular burger joint In-N-Out, the restaurant has re-imagined three popular Pokemon characters – Charmander, Bulbasaur and Pikachu – as inexplicable burgers that look not only too cute, but maybe a creepy to eat. While we aren’t completely sure what the joint used as ingredients in making these Pokémon, we can confirm Charmander offers some American cheese and Doritos.
On the other hand, Bulbasaur is almost like a Big Mac with lettuce, cheese, broccoli and pickles while Pikachu mysteriously contains “tiger fries” (God knows what they are) in combination with what appears to be plenty of other ingredients such as French fries covered in cheese and onions.
To make these burgers even more interesting, this restaurant ensures that each burger matches the color of the Pokémon it represents including certain features such as its face. So if you are around Sydney and feel a little adventurous, you can pop in and grab any of the available Pokémon burger for AUD$ 15 (US$ 12).
