Nike Meets Pokémon

In a very short period of time, Pokémon Go has evolved from an addictive augmented reality game that challenges you to search for Pokémon everywhere to taking over many parts of our daily lives. After invading famous brands and turning them into super cute Pokémon, the trend is now sweeping over the fashion world, thanks to Portland-based UX designers Gene Lu and Duncan Hoge.

Through a project known as PokeID, the creative pair designed a variety of Nike shoes that are inspired by Pokémon characters such as Pikachu, Snorlax, Squirtle and ShinX.

The project that was launched on Instagram and Tumblr involves the use of NikeID, Nike’s online customization service that lets customers design and personalize their own Nike merchandise. All you need to do is click the Pokémon photo, which is then sent to Nike store, where you can purchase a Nike shoe that’s similar to your preferred Pokémon.

So far, there are 39 Poké-Nike available, but there are new ones still popping up. Check out these ones they’re among our favorites.
