Murals with Meaning

These ‘Objects’ Carry a Great Deal of Meaning

For more than ten years now, Spanish street artist Ampparito has worked with various united disciplines that include painted murals of objects, sculptures, stickers and guerilla marketing. To him, art is all about winding humor, irony and giving different points of view, but with a far greater concrete meaning.

In his latest project titled “Objects”, the talented artist highlights, through minimalist wall murals, various ordinary objects that most of us may take for granted daily but have greater meaning to us.

For instance, Ampparito feels that people never pay attention to simple objects such as a pen’s cap. Apparently, a pen’s cap is a very important tool when we chew on it while we’re anxious! And because that matters to him, he displays such objects in an unassuming and oversized manner, in fact in unexpected locations so that you cannot pretend not to see them.
