An artist marries his dress design skills and his love of food for some drool worthy sketches.
Talented Armenian fashion illustrator, Edgar Artis has his own unique take on fashion design. Instead of completing his fashion illustrations with colored pencils, like other fashion illustrators do, he resorts to a unique method of using yummy food stuff such as chocolate, whipped cream, French fries and Swiss cheese to complete his alluring dress designs.
Even though Edgar derives much of his fashion design inspiration from the kitchen, he never shies away from using other everyday objects especially those that are likely to be found in the kitchen drawers such as match sticks, seeds, plants, flowers and a variety of fruits. If he is not using yummy food stuffs, Edgar uses other objects such as a reflection in a window or even a building to complete his creative sketches. He does this by cutting a hole in the paper where the dress should be and incredibly uses different objects to fill the gap, thereby creating a uniquely stunning dress.
These are some of Edgar’s amazing designs that will show you that his illustrations are not just average fashion designs, but real art at its best.
