It depends on where you live, but the actual value of each user to Facebook is somewhat surprising.

While it may be difficult to exactly quantify the amount of revenue that every individual generates for Facebook on a monthly or yearly basis, it is still pretty shocking to see the vague amounts that individuals in every given area in the world generate to the giant social media platform.

According to figures that Facebook announced on 27th January, its revenue level reached $18 billion in 2015, which was a 40% growth to the 2014 figures. With its user base growing to 1.6 billion monthly active users, Facebook made a whopping $4 billion profit in 2015.

The report also noted that the average Facebook user all over the world generated around $12 to the social media platform in 2015.  These figures were around $42 for every user in the U.S. and Canada, which is noticeably higher as a result of the immense use of Facebook advertising in the two countries. The average yearly revenue generated by every user in Europe was around $15, while Asia-Pacific generated around $6 with the rest of the world generating around $4 per user.
